I lead the AI/ML team at BandLab Technologies, building AI-powered tools for music creation. My work spans music generation, audio processing, source separation, voice-to-MIDI, and music information retrieval, from research and model development to real-time deployment on mobile and web, for BandLab’s 200M+ creators.

I have a Ph.D. in Music Technology from NYU, where my thesis focused on chord recognition, back when that meant HMMs. I also have a guitar degree from Berklee.

Real-time audio and DSP have been a thread throughout my career. I led the development of Soundcamp, Samsung’s mobile DAW, and later worked on BandLab’s cross-platform audio engines. When AI moved to the center of music software, I returned to ML, and that’s what I do today.

I’m interested in building technology that makes music creation more expressive, accessible, and fun.
